Who says thirty-five is over the hill? I‘m way over thirty-five and still climbing the mountain, discovering new and exciting things with every step. Writing isn‘t a new discovery; I‘ve always been a writer, but the urge to take that higher, to share my work, take on the challenge of being an author came along much later. I should qualify that by saying the serious urge took hold of me. The fantasy of such a life already existed, but fantasy is for books, comics and art. And dreams. When other people may have believed their life was on the downside, I felt it was way past time to make my dreams become reality.

Reality means learning, growing, developing my work into something better than it was. The most rewarding factor is that growing never stops, the challenge continues forever. I love that. I love the thought of never being bored, always striving toward perfection.

Even better are the extras that come along with new pursuits. I‘ve discovered I love coding. Creating my Web site from scratch has been one of the most fun things I have ever done. I would have never known had I not needed to showcase myself as a writer. Coding is 100% pleasure. A second fantastic discovery in my writing pursuit has been podcasting. Just like learning Web design, becoming a podcaster has challenged me as much as writing. All these things springing from writing have turned into one giant intertwined bundle of fun.

Aside from writing, I‘m a CPA working in the private sector. In my leisure time between the day career and my writing pursuit, I like to fish off the bank, camp at the beach, canoe, play World of Warcraft, and read. Give me a book and I‘m happy. I have so many interests: learning Japanese or French, fractals, graphics and always more coding. My mountain is very high.
